About

Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA)

Not just for Asian-American medical students--

for any healthcare or young professional who cares about the Asian community and realizes the significance of this patient population.

We are blessed to be in Philadelphia, which is a healthcare haven with so many prestigious medical schools in the City of Brotherly Love. The 5 different Philadelphia chapters of APAMSA have a strong history of working together and collaborating on events for the Asian-American community.

On a National level, APAMSA is the nation's largest organization representing Asian Pacific American (APA) medical students.

Members of the PCOM Chapter at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, located in the beautiful suburbs of Philadelphia, launched PhillyAPAMSA.com in the fall of 2015 as a way of reaching out to Philadelphia's 112,000+ Asian-Americans and APAMSA Brothers & Sisters at the other 4 medical schools: Drexel, Jefferson, Temple, and UPenn.

From the PCOM APAMSA perspective, we all have the same goal of increasing quality of life, health, & wellness for Philly's diverse Asian-American patient population. The only thing we are separated by is location of medical school, but when we serve the community and begin to practice as licensed professionals, we will be working together on a regular basis, so it makes sense to strengthen our collaborations now.

By sharing PhillyAPAMSA.com, we seek to unite with fellow members and the surrounding community to establish consistent, lasting bonds that will be inherited from chapter year to chapter year.

Together, all Philly APAMSAs regularly networking together will bring increased quality and quantity of events and useful information to Asian-Americans all over Philadelphia--from the center of the city out into the suburbs.

Join us on our journey and be a part of something meaningful!
